ROPES, LOW ELONGATION

BlueWater offered the world's first static kernmantle rope for caving in 1969. This design evolved into the current BlueWater II Plus series of low elongation/static ropes. Today our ropes still set the world standard in quality, design and durability. It is vital for a low elongation rope to absorb the energy of accidental loading which could result in rope or anchor failure or individual injury. Only BlueWater ropes are designed to absorb this energy and limit these risks. The sheath and core strands of the BlueWater II Plus are made with a double twist, cabled construction. This doubles the amount of time needed to manufacture each individual strand before braiding but we feel the result is worth the extra time and attention.
