Natural Sea Sponge

We dive deep for the ocean's finest sponges. These natural sea sponges are amazingly soft and have an incredible water retention factor. These top quality sponges are perfect for detail work, French panes, cutups and window cleaning. There is no synthetic substitute that really compares to a good sea sponge. Every sponge sold is of premium quality and are now unbleached. Recent research indicates that bleached sponges will fall apart more readily than unbleached sponges.

Bleach vs. Unbleached

We order sea sponges by the thousands and whenever possible specific unbleached sponges.  Most diving companies bleach their sponges light for the retail market because they look "prettier".  This process weakens and shortens the life of sea sponges.

Apples to Oranges

abc pays more for higher grade sponges and we pay more by ordering larger sizes.  Mediterranean sponges are very expensive and difficult to find.  Don't be fooled when you see Sea Wool prices called Mediterraneans.  abc is often outpromised, but seldom outperformed.

Best Sponges

I have used nothing but these for 30 plus years. Nothing compares, absorbs or outlasts to durability or this natural sponge. I always use the small sponge as they seem to last longer and fit perfectly in the pouch.
