Description
Your hip bucket holds your window cleaning essentials, and it's important to get the best hip bucket that fits your needs. The Samurai Boab by Aztec Innovation is a new type of hip bucket.
What makes it different?
It has two removable partitions. The first partition holds 2 squeegees and a mop. The second partition holds 1 squeegee and a pad tool. If you prefer not to have a partition keep it an open cavity for whatever tools you need.
Design features:
The Samurai Boab can accommodate a 36" (or larger) channel, including the ninja. It can also accommodate a 22" (or larger) mop. When in use, water drains from the squeegee area into the mop area. The partition separates the mop from the squeegees so there shouldn't be any tangle issues. The belt clip is made for quick release, easily accommodating the use of larger or small tools. Having a removable partition makes it easy to clean out the bucket and remove mud from its bottom. The design of the partition prevents the squeegee rubber from getting nicked. If the partition gets worn, it can be sanded down or smoothed with a lighter.
The Samurai is made from polyethylene (HDPE) and feels different than the standard BOABs. HDPE is lightweight but super-strong, it’s impact resistant in case it’s dropped, as well as being chemical and weather resistant.

What I would do for an insert.
The bucket works great until the dividers come lose. This is a higher priced bucket but can't get through even one season before the insert comes loose and is lost. To make matters worse you can not get replacement parts. I have 5 buckets that I cannot use anymore because of this issue. Until they fix this design flaw I'm done with this bucket.
Not as advertised
Seems like a great concept but the mounting clip is cheap and flimsy. Advertisement clearly shows that it comes with two inserts but only one was delivered. Spoke with customer service and only received a poor and generic excuse. ABC couldn't and didn't make it right.
Great BOAB for the buck!
I love my dry leg. In addition to my primary mop and 12" squeegee, I use a 14" excellerator with fliq pad. I can comfortably fit it all in this bucket and an 18" too. I haven't decided how I feel about the belt clip as sometimes it likes slosh my water out when I bend down. If I'm careful it doesn't cause problems. It does cause wear on my rubber when I leave my squeegees in for long periods of time, but thats not hard to fix. 4 out of 5, but probably more like 4.5
Samurai Bucket
I got this mid season last year and at first I wasn't sure, but once I got used to it I loved it! I was hoping it wouldn't ruin my rubber like every other bucket, but I still got the rub on one side so I couldn't flip it and use both sides. I glued some old rubber strips to the areas where it made contact and it really helped eliminate wear, but then the insert clip broke(my fault) so I put the other insert in but it only holds one squeegee :( I think if they could figure out how to add a soft surface where the squeegee rubs that would be a great improvement. If you like a dry leg then I would recommend this product. Good luck everyone!!!
The Samurai hip bucket is the best
This is by far my favorite bucket. I'm a little rough on my tools I guess. The triple crowns always break. My old faithful green unger hip bucket wore through the bottom and so I thought "instead of more jbweld and duct tape... maybe it's time for something new." The samurai does keep my leg dry. (Even when I'm tired and sloppy, I'm drier than I was before.) It holds all channels without tangling. Ive used 8"-24" channels with no trouble. If you're a little shorter and prefer the massive channels this may not work, as long channels do start to come into the armpit area, but I modified the belt loop to sit higher. I prefer an 18" washer, but the 22" sits well also. I have one fat handle tbar that doesnt slide into the handle slot all the way, but it still works.
Amazing Product!!
This Hip Bucket is Amazing! When used properly I get no wet leg at all and most of all my hip bucket isn't flopping around everywhere. It stays nice,and tucked to my belt and stays stationary as I walk. I actually removed the detachable buckle clip and only used the velcro loop to snug it against my belt. I'm 5' 7" and I use a 22" channel. It works great.
