Winsafe, established in 1995 for the purpose of innovating back up devices and equipment for high rise window cleaners, created this rope grab with stainless steel construction. This manual fall arrest device offers easy installation onto life line rope for versatility. Because this device has a double lock system, it can not open during use or be closed incorrectly. The Winsafe Komet uses a cam system to lock onto the back up rope in case of a fall and offers rope grab fall protection ideal in any rope access or at height situation. With the anti-panic feature, the device will lock onto the back up line even if the operator squeezes it during fall. It works on ⅝ inch rope with a minimum breaking strength of 7,500 lbs. While it isn't stamped, Winsafe says that it meets or exceed ANSI and OSHA standards.
