Safety and Travel for the High Rise Speed Suspension Competition

HRSS October 4-6, 2021 Salt Lake City, UT

Your safety and the safety of HRSS competitors and staff is the first priority of both the abc Window Cleaning Supply and Petzl. Abc Window Cleaning is committed to OSHA protocol and HRSS is committed to strict safety measures by having the highly trained Petzl staff set up, monitor, and breakdown each high rise competitions. Petzl, experts in rope access, follows the most stringent safety protocols when rigging the competitions. The entire staff is highly trained in best rope access safety practices as well as rescues. HRSS will be fun, competitive, but first and foremost, safe. Safety will never be compromised.  

Travel from the Airport

Petzl Technical Institute is about twenty minutes away from the Salt Lake International Airport (SLC). Taxis and Lyfts are available at the airport. Coordinate and share ride with peers. Public Bus from SLC is also easy and available.

Check out this local hike for the best views of SLC! Hike The Living Room Length: 2.3 miles | Elevation Gain: 980 feet Great views of the SLC valley Located on the furthest outcropping of Mt Wire Peak in the Wasatch Mountain Range on, the Living Room Hike is so named because of the rocks that are in the shape of loveseats, couches and lounge chairs at the top. Directions: To get to the trailhead from I-15, you take the exit for 400 South and follow that all the way up to Red Butte Gardens near the University of Utah. If you are punching it into Google Maps, make sure you are going to the hiking entrance with an official-looking sign. Otherwise, you will end up adding 0.75 miles to your hike and can get lost a lot easier. Download the AllTrails app for this hike because there are several popular trails that intersect.
